1. Overview
This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds are processed for HashForge hashrate rental services. We strive to be fair and transparent in all refund matters.
2. Account Balance Refunds
2.1 Deposited Funds
Funds deposited to your HashForge account that have not been used for orders may be withdrawn at any time, subject to:
- Minimum withdrawal amount requirements;
- Network transaction fee deductions;
- Two-factor authentication verification (if enabled);
- Any applicable compliance holds.
2.2 Withdrawal Processing
Withdrawal requests are typically processed within 24-48 hours. During periods of high volume or if additional verification is required, processing may take longer.
3. Order Cancellations
3.1 The 60-Minute Lock Period
Orders cannot be cancelled within the first 60 minutes after mining begins.
This policy exists because:
- Hashrate is immediately allocated on third-party marketplace infrastructure;
- Mining operations cannot be instantly reversed;
- Early cancellation would disrupt marketplace pricing and operations.
3.2 Cancellation After Lock Period
After 60 minutes, you may cancel your order at any time. Upon cancellation:
- Mining operations stop as soon as technically feasible;
- Your unused budget is calculated based on actual hashrate consumed;
- Remaining funds are credited to your account balance;
- Refunds typically reflect within minutes but may take up to 24 hours.
3.3 Refund Calculation
Refund amounts are calculated as:
Refund = Original Budget - Amount Spent on Hashrate
Amount spent is determined by actual hashrate delivery at prevailing market rates during the mining period.
4. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds are not available in the following situations:
- Completed Orders: Orders where the full budget has been consumed;
- Mining Outcomes: Dissatisfaction with mining rewards, block discovery, or profitability;
- Price Changes: Cryptocurrency price movements during or after mining;
- Terms Violations: Orders terminated due to violation of our Terms of Service;
- Fraud: Accounts closed due to fraudulent activity;
- Network Issues: Blockchain network congestion or issues outside our control;
- Incorrect Addresses: Mining rewards sent to incorrect addresses you provided.
5. Disputes
5.1 Reporting Issues
If you believe you are entitled to a refund that was not processed correctly, please contact us at [email protected] within 30 days of the transaction with:
- Your account email;
- Order ID(s) in question;
- Description of the issue;
- Expected resolution.
5.2 Resolution Process
We will investigate all refund disputes and respond within 5 business days. Our decision on refund matters is final, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.
6. Special Circumstances
6.1 Service Outages
In the event of extended service outages caused by HashForge (not third-party providers), we may, at our sole discretion, offer:
- Account credits;
- Extended mining time;
- Partial refunds.
6.2 Platform Discontinuation
If HashForge discontinues operations, all unused account balances will be made available for withdrawal during a notice period of at least 30 days.
